Madison County Board of Health Request for Services (RFS)

The Madison County Board of Health (Board) has experienced budget reductions over the past several years.  The reduction in funding resulted in no ability to maintain past staffing levels.  The state funding picture was also on a downward trajectory.  This Board sought a long-term solution to ensure public health services for the citizens of Madison County.  A plan was in place through an agreement with an adjoining county to provide a long-term solution.

The adjoining county was led by an experienced public health administrator and the agreement positioned both counties to leverage additional funding. The collaborative agreement will end September 2026.
