WEED COMMISSIONER/ROADSIDE MANAGER/ROAD MAINTENANCE WORKER POSITION for Madison County Secondary Road Department.

 

Requirements: Must possess a high school diploma or GED.

A Commercial driver’s license with tanker and hazardous materials endorsement is required. Must possess, or obtain within 60 days of hire, an Iowa Certified Commercial Pesticide Applicators license with at least a Category 1a – Agricultural Weed Control or Category 6 – Right-of-Way. At least two (2) years of experience in equipment repair work or equivalent in formal training and experience. The starting wage is $28.50 per hour with a $0.25 increase per hour after 90 days. Longevity pay for every completed year of service. Paid leave time package is included with employment. Medical & life benefits included. IPERS retirement package. Great working hours. Normal hours are five (5), 8-hour days, Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
