MADISON COUNTY TEMPORARY CUSTODIAN

Madison County Maintenance Department

Temporary employees in the Madison County Maintenance Department are hired to perform a specific job or to work on a project with a limited duration.

This typically occurs during a special project, a particular time of year, an abnormal workload, or an emergency.

These employees may be scheduled to work up to forty (40) hours per week for a maximum of one hundred twenty (120) days, based on a schedule established by the County.

BRIDGE FOREMAN - BRIDGE CREW for Madison County Secondary Road Department.

Requirements:

Possess a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License, and pre-employment drug testing, must have knowledge of construction practices, various equipment and tools needed for bridge construction. Heavy equipment and physical construction experience preferred. The starting wage is $30.32 per hour with a $0.25 increase per hour after 90 days. Longevity pay for every completed year of service. Paid leave time package is included with employment. Medical & life benefits included.

IPERS retirement package. Great working hours. Normal hours are five (5), 8-hour days, Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Summer hours are four (4), 10-hours days, Monday through Thursday 6:00 am to 4:30 pm.
