DEPUTY ASSESSOR / APPRAISER MADISON COUNTY ASSESSOR’S OFFICE
The Madison County Assessor’s Office is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented professional to assist with the discovery, listing, and valuation of residential and agricultural properties. This role includes both office and field work, providing customer service to taxpayers, conducting property inspections, processing credits and exemptions, and maintaining accurate assessment records.
High school diploma required; degree or construction/appraisal experience preferred. 2–4 years of relevant real estate or appraisal experience encouraged. Must possess and maintain a valid Iowa driver’s license. Must appear—or be eligible to appear—on the Iowa Department of Revenue’s list of eligible Deputy Assessors.
Compensation to be commensurate with relevant experience. Standard operational hours are five 8-hour days, Monday through Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm. Benefits package includes paid leave, medical & life insurance coverage, and IPERS retirement plan.
